Jason Brodeur is a local business owner and community leader who grew up in Seminole County, built a career in the community, and measures public service by results.

Bio

Raised in Seminole County

Jason is the son of Tim and Rene Brodeur of Winter Springs. He grew up in the community he now represents, attending Jackson Heights Middle School and Oviedo High School, where he played volleyball and wrestled. He and his wife Christy attend St. Andrews Chapel.

Jason earned a Bachelor of Science in Food and Resource Economics from the University of Florida on a Florida Academic Scholarship, followed by an MBA, also from UF, where he was a member of Florida Blue Key. In 2022, he earned an MPH from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. He spent nearly 12 years with Procter & Gamble before founding a local health care consulting business headquartered in Sanford.

Before he held office, Jason served on the City of Sanford Charter Review Board and the Seminole County Planning and Zoning Commission, and was appointed by the Governor to the Medicaid Pharmaceutical and Therapeutics Committee. He served as President and CEO of the Seminole County Regional Chamber of Commerce, sat on the Board of Directors of Community Based Care of Seminole County, volunteered for the Seminole County Div-i-dend public school program, and is a Sanford Rotarian and American Cancer Society volunteer. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Galileo School for Gifted Learning.

Qualifications

Jason represented the community for eight years in the Florida House, where he worked to lower taxes and deliver on meaningful projects for our community, such as the Casselberry Flyover, which helped alleviate traffic and congestion in Seminole County.

Elected to the Florida Senate in 2020, he has sent more than 20 bills to the Governor's desk, including foster-children protections, the Florida Wildlife Corridor Act, homestead tax exemptions for teachers and first responders, expanded mental-health resources, and landmark prescription-drug and pharmacy-benefit-manager reforms.
